Warrington Offload Launch

Underneath the shirt, Rugby League players are just like you, their battle doesn’t start and end on the field.

To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2017, Warrington Wolves Foundation, Rugby League Cares and State of Mind Sport would like to invite you to a local launch of Offload; a new mental fitness project for men across Warrington.
Offload Warrington
Offload will give men in Warrington the opportunity to team up with current and past players to build their mental fitness. The ground-breaking and innovative project funded by the Big Lottery will go behind the scenes of Warrington’s Super League club to learn the mental fitness techniques used by professional players.

Offload will provide a support network for men to improve their mental health and make help and assistance more accessible than ever before using evidence-based techniques to combat some of the challenges faced in every-day life, such as work-life balance, bouncing back in tough times, and resilience.

The launch event will include an introduction to the national pilot project, an insight into the mental challenges of professional players by State of Mind Sport and an overview of how the new Offload programme will work to complement existing local health provision.

If you would like to come along and hear about the project and how we can work in partnership to support existing mental health services in Warrington, please join us at The University of Chester (Padgate Campus), in the Lance Dobson Lecture Theatre on Thursday 11th May from 11.00am-1.00pm.

If you would like to attend the Offload launch event, please email James Howes (jameshowes@wolvesfoundation.com) at the earliest convenience to confirm your attendance.

Please feel free to circulate and distribute to anyone who you may feel would benefit from attending
