NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group, sometimes shortened to CCG, represents 38 GP practices and over 230,000 patients and is based in South Yorkshire. We have responsibility for commissioning healthcare for the population of Barnsley. South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides mental health, learning disability and community services to local people across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield . The Trust also provides some medium secure (forensic) services to the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber .
Over 1 million people live in Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield across urban and rural communities from a range of diverse backgrounds. We aim to match the community’s needs with locally sensitive and efficient services. The Trust, which was first established in 2002, now employs more than 4700 staff, in both clinical and non-clinical support services.

We also run a number of services in partnership, with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council as the lead provider. They include the learning disabilities services, the child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS), school nursing and paediatric therapy.
